Pitch Improvement on Victory Park
Visitors to Cosby Victory Park may have notice a couple of tractors moving slowly up and down the park over the football pitches and leaving small spiked holes in the ground no bigger than a penny in diameter and roughly 6 to 8 inches deep.
The verti-draining will help improve the drainage of surface water on the pitches, improve the quality of the soil and also help give us a stronger grass covering by promoting deeper root growth.
The club hope to repeat this process again early in the spring of next year as part of a a three-year pitch improvement programme organised by Cosby Junior Football Club.
The holes will close up gradually and pose no threat to anyone or anyones dogs.
